Spectar is an international journal of the Institute of Macedonian Literature dedicated to the science of literature. Formed in 1983 as an affirmative of the scientific work of the Institute and a medium through which the exchange of experiences and information in the field of modern scientific events takes place. It contains the rubrics: Literary History, Contemporary Macedonian Literature, Literary Reprints from the World, Theory – Poetics, Myth – Folklore, which formulate the basic recognizable features of the journal. Special emphasis is given to reviews, presentations, reviews of the latest scientific and professional literature, and in some issues a space for scholarly discussions and bibliographies.
They express the diversity of the journal and present the continuity and identity of the Macedonian literature.
Spectrum’s profile is well known in all Slavic centers and in scientific and university institutions and libraries worldwide. The journal is published twice a year.
